TO REJECT GOD IS TO LIVE IN DENIAL OF REALITY
In these times, it is very in vogue to reject the existence of God and instead embrace secular humanist views. From the time children enter school, they are constantly bombarded with propaganda meant to lead them down the path of atheism and ultimately, spiritual death. The long-time pushing of macroevolution in the classroom as a scientific fact is at the top of that list.
The belief that life originated from absolutely nothing and came about purely arbitrarily is about as far from provable science as one could go, and yet those who arrogantly reject the Creator of all things portray themselves as being on the intellectual high ground. They flippantly dismiss the best-preserved historical documents in antiquity - the bible (particularly the New Testament) - as just a bunch of made-up fairy tales and lies and will criticize anyone who observes creation and concludes that it could've only come from a Creator. All the while, embracing the ridiculous notion that life came about randomly, through an endless succession of lucky coincidences - each being much more improbable statistically than playing the lottery every day, and always winning.
It takes a whole lot more faith to believe that everything originated from nothing, than it does to believe it was the vision and creation of an all-powerful God. Macroevolution is exactly what Christianity is: a religion. While Christianity cites Jesus Christ as the Creator and ruler of all things, the actual purpose of macroevolution is not to actually prove anything; it's instead a tool to explain away the existence of God. That's why it was initially embraced and that's why it is still embraced. It has nothing to do with science, and everything to do with hatred of God and being willing to go to any length to find the pseudo-scientific justification to reject Him.
When it comes to the weather, and nature, you will often hear atheists makes reference to 'Mother Nature' or 'Mother Earth'. These commonly used terms vaguely point to the fact there is some kind of governing orchestrator of weather patterns; snow; rain; earthquakes; hurricanes; tornados; tsunamis; the oceans; etc. These people have no problem whatsoever believing these things are orchestrated by intelligent design - long as you erase the name Jesus Christ and substitute it with some generically vague term like 'Mother Nature' or 'Mother Earth'. Again, just like with macroevolution in general, the primary foundation isn't the ridiculous belief that everything could originate from nothing, but instead to convince people that anyone or anything other than the God of the bible is responsible for them!
Similarly, the same atheists who will angrily dismiss even the slightest possibility of God's existence as naive fairy tales, will often enthusiastically embrace the probability of intelligent and sophisticated extra-terrestrial beings. That's because the war isn't truly against the existence of unearthly, intelligent beings; it's instead against the existence if one specific being: the God of the Bible and specifically the name of Jesus Christ.
The bible verses below describe this denial of God. In the end, Creation itself is all the proof of God's existence that we need, and after we breathe our last breath, the excuse of insufficient evidence to justify disbelief in God will be futile:
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools
